What is a bunyip
It is a measuring device, which is used to determine if two points are level (similar to an A-frame), but it can also tell us how much difference in height there is between 2 points. It is made of a long pipe (ideally see through pipe), which is tied to 2 poles or sticks.
Materials
- 1 x clear tubing (between 8 and 20 meters long)
- 2 x poles, ideally squared wood, but round will do (1.5 to 2 meters long)
- String or tape to tie the pipe to the poles
Useful tools for making the bunyip
- Marker pen
- Tape measure
